It's already two weeks since we have started witht the Oberfeld. First sprouts are out and need to be watered, which should not be a problem looking at the weather forecast :-P
However, do not forget to follow the shifts and to follow some of the advices forwarded by the Oberfeld:
- Cabbages are unfortunately afflicted by birds (pigeons, magpies). It is not a question of snails feeding form the plants. Cover them with fleece or a bird protection net could help. Otherwise, anything that will scare birds like scarecrows, hanging CDs that will dandle and sparkle with the wind.
- Probably from Tuesday 15.05.2012 afternoon, you could find tomatoes, bell peppers, squash and eggplant seedlings, as well as some lettuce, turnip cabbage and fennel plants in the Oberfeld shop. The tomato plants have been produced by 'Heydenmüle' and are already quite large, therefore slightly cheaper. There shouldn't be a problem to hold them with a stick.
